The Merrimack Valley's Premier Location for Festivals
Lowell is a creative city with numerous festivals and events.
Our Festival Series includes the Summer Kickoff, the Lowell Culinary Festival, and the Lowell Oktoberfest. These events provide an array of family style fun, adult oriented activities and celebrate Lowell’s diversity through art, music, food and culture.
The Summer Kickoff occurs annually during or near the Summer equinox. This event includes a food truck night market or community picnic and interactive art displays and Chalkfest. This year the event is held on June 16th and 17th.
The Lowell Culinary Festival brings backs our Lowell Food & Wine Festival each September highlighting our extraordinary culinary diversity in the Merrimack Valley. This festival provides a variety of cooking demonstrations, tasting events, featured dinners, workshops, and our popular Lowell Chopped Competition where local chefs compete for the winning title. This year the festival is held on September 7th to 9th. This three-day festival is anticipated to bring in over 5000 people through multiple events occurring in Downtown Lowell.
The Lowell Oktoberfest highlights German culture and cuisine and celebrates German food, beer, games and entertainment – with a Lowell twist. This one-day festival occurs this year on October 14th.
